17 months... : Child or Pregnancy Loss

Wow, I can't believe I have been on this painful journey for 17 months today... I miss my sweet Isabelle everyday. I will never ever forget her beautiful curly hair, or those chubby chubby cheeks... and those beautiful hours I was able to cuddle her in the hospital. Sadly all I have is memories.. memories to get me through each and everyday of missing my baby.

I can say now though after 17 months, I am able to get through most days without any tears. Every so often I hear a song on the radio that reminds me of her, or I see my friends little ones that are only a few months younger then Isabelle would of been. I see them and feel sad. I can honestly say that I am happy again. I think that it is a different kind of happiness though. My life had gone in a totally different direction then it would of been if I had Isabelle. I am now in a loving relationship about to be married...If Isabelle was here I would be dealing with her father and his unstable family. I think its a blessing in disguise.

I guess I just needed to come and get this all out... I am not sad today, I am blessed to have a beautiful angel, and I can honestly say that I've met an Angel....and she has touched my life in many ways. If It wasn't for her, I would not have made some of the wonderful friends that I have, ones that will be close to my heart for life!!!

I hate to see more mommies joining this board all the time, it just breaks my heart! I know how you guys are all hurting, and want to have your babies with you. I am here for you all!!

Oh, happy 17 months to sweet Isabelle!! I'm so glad you have such special memories of holding her.
It's great to hear that you are having some better days. I'm so happy for you and your upcoming marriage. I'm sure he's a special man :-) I am certain that the two of you will build a special family. You definitely deserve it!
