My daughter is 21 months and a week ago she started vomiting without fever. I took her to the dr last Friday and he said she has the swine flu. (I wanted to cry my eyes out). Well...the last time she vomited was last Friday night. She had some diarrhea for about 3 days, but now its better. She never had a fever, she's been happy the whole time. Well Wednesday morning we woke up and I had to change her diaper...it was SOAKED! Thursday morning we woke up and NOTHING! She peed Thursday during the day, drank her milk. I changed her last night at 9pm before we went to bed. I gave her 7oz of milk which she drank all of, we went to bed. I woke up at 12am and all I could think about was her not peeing....and she hadn't. I was up till 2am...still no pee. I went back to sleep and woke up at 3:30am...still no pee. Checked again at 4:30 still nothing. Woke back up at 6am and she had peed. Got her up and changed about 7:30am and I think she peed a little more. I'm just worried because when we went to the dr he said to make sure she pees every 6 hours. She drinks during the day, she has zero fever, she plays and is her normal self. My husband thinks I'm worrying over nothing. My mom thinks maybe she is starting to try to hold it for potty training. I just don't know what to think! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks so much!

Hey hun.  I'm sorry your daughter has been sick.  I know it's scary and the media doesn't help any.

If she is wetting during the day as she always has, I wouldn't be overly concerned that she is waking up dry.  I know the timing makes you worry but I'm willing to bet that it's completely coincidental.  :)

I agree with Mandy.

Also signs of dehydration are as follows: Listlessness, sunken eyes, dry mouth, inability to wake up, etc.  you'll know if there's a problem wiht that.

My son was hospitalized for dehydration on his first birthday and we knew something was wrong.  it was very scary.
