I had my c-section last Friday.  I now have a nasty red rash all around the incision site.  I have a tummy flap there that doesn't help matters, I have been putting this anti-rash powder on it and also putting a wash  cloth there to keep it dry but it still is bothering me a lot.  I had it with my 2nd section too but this time everything else that worked that time is not working as well.  Anyone have any advice?  Thanks in advance:)

i had my last c/s 5 years ago and this past summer, it was very hot and i got a heat rash in that area (i still have the over hanging gross nasty skin lol) baby poweder helped keep it dry and clear up but i dont' know that i would use that when you recently had the c/s.  right after my c/s, i used a pad to keep the area dry as it seemed to pull the moisture away from the incision better then just a wash rag.  if it continues, i would call your doctor to make sure you don't have an infection or anything.

I got one last time - it was a yeast rash because of the ehat and moisture - I ended up using a maxi pad over it to wick the moisture away from the incision....just keep it dry and cool - if at night you can lay with it uncovered to get some air it'll help a bunch too :)
