Have you heard of this before b/c I'm very confused.
They said they were expecting HCG 50 on day 12... On Day9 I was 140... So they said when I went back on day 14 they would expect around a HCG 480... I was HCG 920.
I can't get them to tell me anything. I'd like to know more and have a better feeling if I'm having twins or not.

Remember that high hcg does not always mean multiples. I'm nervous myself, though...at 10dp5dt mine was 564!!
Good luck!!!!

I found this...
http://www.advancedfertility.com/earlypre.htm
the sample size was small but it just gives you a good idea that the range is huge.
At 7 days past 5 dt (so 12 dpo) mine was 95 (in the very high range). 3 days later- 10 days past 5dt it was 476. My dr. said they have seen singeltons and twins do this same thing. We must wait until the U/S in 2 weeks! I am going to go nuts!!

The doubling thing is the bare minimum of what doctors would like to see in a pregnancy. Your numbers are normal and can indicate the following:
1. Multiples? Twins?
2. An absolutely normal pregnancy (my HCG was well over 14,000+ at 5.5 weeks with only one sticky bean)
Good luck!

Hi there!
I have read and been told by a few sources that you cannot tell if you are having multiples by your HCG alone... you will have to wait until your ultrasound! I was wondering the same thing due to the fact that i had a Day 3 Donor Egg Transfer of 2 embryos and i took an HPT two days ago and the line came up VERY stong... I don't have my blood test until tomorrow so i am hoping that everyone is right by saying i got my BFP!!! My first ultrasound isn't until June 30 so i will be (im)patiently waiting the news of either twins or a singleton!!!
Congrats and good luck!!!
