Board(s) I lead and why I love it: TTC in General, TTC 2+ years
I found my way to BZ while pg with ds#2, and introed on the Feb board. A google search about a question brought me here, and I was hooked. I have frequented a few of the boards and wherever I have been I have found a board full of supportive, caring funny women.
I was asked to be a CL on the ttc in general board by another leader who was graduating to a ddc, and I have been there ever since. I love this board, there are a few of us who are longer term members, and a lot of new faces every month too. It is a great board full of supportive women no matter where they are in their ttc journey. Mostly any question can be answered there by someone who has either had experience with it, or who likes to research answers. I recently took on the ttc2+ board, it is a little slower, but questions are answered slowly and the women there have been there a while longer so there is more of a connection there between ladies all going through similar struggles.
I have been ttc since Aug 2009, and have a history of early losses (3mc), as well as an ectopic where I lost my right tube (Dec/11). I have a wonderful dh and 2 ds aged 8 and 3. We live in the country next to a lake, and we love to do lots of outside stuff in the summer. The boys play outside in the winter but I try to stay where in where it is toasty warm.. Winters in Canada can be pretty cold. I also love gardening, I grow flowers, fruits, and vegetables.
Share a Parenting Tip or Best Advice: I would say to trust your instincts and do what works for your family. I find that you get a lot of unsolicited advice and you need to find what works for you as far as rules, discipline etc. Also don't be afraid to let your "routine go" for the sake of a clean house. If my kids want me to go outside to push them on the swings or go swimming, I will do it, the vacuuming can always wait, you only have so much time with them when they are small.
