I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes 2 weeks ago, and I've been trying so hard to figure out what my body is ok with me eating. For any of you who also have gestational diabetes, I thought that I would share a couple of things I've found.
Mixed nuts are low in carbs, high in fiber.
Weight Watchers food have low carbs and high fiber.
Merrita has a whole wheat bread called Smart Wheat. 2 slices of bread have 17 carbs and 5 fiber, the lowest I've found in bread so far.
Has anyone heard anything about Glucerna? A friend was telling me about it. I haven't tried it. I wasn't sure if it was good for gestational diabetes since gest. diabetes tends to be a little different than other types of diabetes.
Has anyone found anything else that might be really helpful?
