I eventually want another baby in the next 3-4 years, but I had a horrible experience with my blood pressure going crazy AFTER the birth. I don't know if anyone else has had their blood pressure elevate after having the baby...it went up to 190/110 and didn't respond to the nifedipine and labetelol until nearly a week in the hospital. I am still on a lot of meds to control it now.
Anyway, I have three questions:
1) If I get another C-section (which they'll likely recommend) for baby #2, do they cut right over the same scar? Do you end up with one bigger scar then or 2 scars?
2) My C section was not planned so I had it after many hours in labor. Is it better the 2nd time around if scheduled?
3) Last...I am working so hard to get rid of this...pouch?...on my stomach. It kind of hangs over the scar. I was told it's called "mother's apron" and it's something only women with C sections get? It's slowly going down. But is it possible to actually make it completely go away or can this be extra skin/torn abdominal muscles from the surgery?

they cut over the same scar. this time i ended up with a lil bit bigger scar only because #1 (ds) was 5 lb 3 oz and 5 weeks early. #2 (dd) was 39 weeks and 7 lb 11 oz....so a significantly bigger baby...but he tried pulling her out by just cutting over the original scar and she didnt fit lol so he made a bigger cut ....not by too much though.
2) My C section was not planned so I had it after many hours in labor. Is it better the 2nd time around if scheduled?
with my first i was in labor for 61.5 hrs before they did the c/s, it was an aweful experience. this time the actual procedure was great, i was crackin jokes on the table with the nirses and docs...and i didnt feel a thing unlike last time. my recovery on the other hand was not better than the last time....horrible!!!

mine went away completely with ds....i think by 6 months or so. this time i still have it a lol i gained 40 with dd and have only lost 34 of it....so maybe its just the extra 6 that i still have, and i havent toned up yet. im sure itll go away again, there is hope!!!!!
