HI ladies,
I am just wondering if anyone was ever told one sex only to find out later it was another. Just wondering how common it was. I had a 19 week u/s and they said girl but I am not 100% convinced. (maybe 80%)  I know about the three lines but I have aslo seen three lines in boy u/s??!!! It just looks like there is something more there then just 3 lines. Maybe it's a swollen labia I don't know. Anybody have any thoughts or experience???

I have heard of this happening however, I don't know of anyone that it has happened to.  Any chance you can get your OB to throw in another u/s?  :)

I had a lady in my birthing class who was told she was having a girl up until her last u/s when she was 35 weeks! baby was born and the doctors announced it was a boy!! she was shocked to say the least.

Happened to me! At 22 weeks the ultrasound techs, 2 of them said girl. It was done in the hospital, but they never showed me on the screen, no pics of any lines to prove it either. I wanted to go neutral with our theme, because Well I dunno just wanted to be safe. At 35 weeks I went for my last ultrasound and I jokingly asked the tech to confirm i was having a girl Her words were: I can't confirm that as I see testicles!". What!?!? She then said "She could have a very swollen labia, but I'm 90 sure it's a boy." I was ok with it as I guess it was an instinct or something. Remember though I was never given any pics of the lines and such. I don't want you to stress more about this, maybe get another u/s or in my case I plan on getting a 3D one so I don't experience a gender bender again! I had a csection so my son wore a lot mixed matched clothes for 2 weeks until I could go shopping and return as much as I could. I still have a lot of pink clothes new in a tote, hopefully one day I'll use it lol
