How to get a host or become one??

Hi Ladies,
A few of us (from the March 2010 DDC) have been wondering how the hosting works. Currently, there are several posts that are all either personal questions or situations and I was wondering if we need a host to create a board with a sticky or something where we can all sort of congregate or how this all works. If we need a host and Baby Zone doesn't have one for March yet, how would one of us become a host?
