Hi ladies!

Question...so everytime the baby or jumps i feel painful twinges down there in my butt and you know!!! EVERYTIME!! is this normal? I am 39 weeks and 5 days almost 6 - i was checked 2 weeks ago at my 38 week apt and i was only .5 pushing 1 cm so im not sure what i am right now... im not having any contractions so im so confused on if it could be the baby trying to start labor and break my water or what. With my son i was 6 days late and it took 3x of stripping my membranes and they broke my water at 10 cm so im just not real sure what to expect. Sorry if this sounded crazy or didnt make sense LOL

I have been having the same thing happen and I have for a few weeks now, it is getting worse, I see MW tomm and I am planning on asking her about it. Sorry I'm no help hope someone knows more than I do.

Oh man, I have it too! It is horrible! My doula friend calls it baby drillhead, so I have adopted that. Pretty much your baby is VERY well engaged, and that is a good thing. And, as they rotate their head it is drilling down into your cervix. I always say it resembles a knife being twisted down their. OUCH! I don't even think ouch fully describes the pain I have. They are not twinges for me, but can be minutes of extended sharp pains down there. Yikes! But, completely normal!!!

thanks so much!! yes they arent twindges for me either but that was the best i could think of late at night LOL.. Im glad im not alone!
