and it's driving me nuts. I was scheduled with DD, so I don't know what it's like to have to wait and see. The new LO is on the smaller side (not growth restricted; just small), so I need to go in for weekly monitoring and weekly u/s. My MD and the MFM both said that I may be scheduled for 37 weeks-if she suddenly stops growing-or for 39 weeks-if everything keeps going as it is (or anywhere in between). Of course, I want to go as long as I can, but not being able to make arrangements, especially with the holidays falling on week 38 and 39 of my pregnancy, is making me go insane! I hope everyone is doing well with their pregnancies and recoveries. -Christie

That is annoying!  Hopefully things will progress enough that you can make proper arrangements.
Hugs!

Even if they did schedule you though, sounds like it could change.  My DS was scheduled for 38 weeks, but due to very low fluid levels I went in one afternoon and got a call an hour later from my OB saying "Your baby needs to be born now", and ended up in hospital having him at 37 weeks.  That threw me a bit because I was totally expecting the scan to be fine (even though I knew my levels were very low), and to be pregnant for another week until my scheduled date!  Thankfully DH was able to take off work and look after our DD.

We already have a date of May 28 2010 for this little one (38 weeks), but I will take that with a grain of salt after last time - if I make that date, great - if not, no big surprise.

I know it's frustrating, but hang in there!  Hope you get an idea form your dr soon :-)  And Good Luck!

I hope all goes well. I had my DS on Christmas Day and it can be quite the busy and confusing time.
I have to have a c this time around due to new legal restrictions. (I live in a rural area, and  previously had a c-section, so all furthur deliveries are supposed to be c-section for no other reason than "they" said so.) However, I will not schedule my c-section. It will be done after my body naturally goes into labor. I chose this because of proven outcomes and the benefit to baby. Plus, I know that baby is ready to come when he/she choses to.

Anyway, again, I hope all goes well and your holidays are fun and full of hapiness.
