Hello! My name is Liz and I'm the new CL for the Cesarean Sections board. I am a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful sons and I'm currently 8 months pregnant with our third son. All of my deliveries have been scheduled c-sections for various reasons but mainly because I have a funny shaped pelvis that my babies can't fit through.
I have enjoyed staying active on this board because I very much dislike some of the stereotypes that go along with women who have c-sections. The thought that we are lazy, entitled, unwilling to ruin our 'lady parts', etc. just because we've had c-sections. I like being able to share with others that most people have c-sections because they are necessary for the health of the mother and/or baby, not because we want them or because they are easier.
When I was 38 1/2 weeks pregnant with my first son and was unexpectedly told I would be having a c-section in a few days, I turned to this board in a panic. At the time I was just a lurker but I found the stories and experiences other people shared very helpful and educational. I hope we can use this board to offer support to each other, give advice and tips to others facing c-sections, and have some fun!
I look forward to getting to know everyone and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have!
Liz
