Hi All,

Sawyer will be five weeks old on Wednesday. I wake him up every 2-3 hours for a feeding. We try to keep him up for a while too at these times. Do you all do that? Sometimes its really hard. Yesterday all he wanted to do all day long was sleep....then I was worried he wouldn't sleep at night. So we try to wake him up and keep him up. I find myself not wanting to go out at all because then he will just sleep more while were in the car or out in the stores. Is anyone else doing this? Should I just go more with the flow?

Addison is a month old today, although im a first time mom i have 3nieces that i have helped raise. I can tell you i never woke them up to eat and i never wake addison up. Actually even when i do try to wake her up she fights me. My mom always said let sleeping babies lie. She will wake up when shes hungry. And i have also worried about her sleeping too much during the day, worried i will have a rough night with her but it hasnt happened yet. I had mentioned it to her Dr and he said, shes still growing and developing you will notice her staying awake about 2hrs and then sleeping 3-4. Its normal, as she gets older she will stay awake for longer periods.. Hope that helps. Goodluck!
