Only bad thing is I have to do it in a hospital that is about 2 hrs away. I will continue with my routine care for the next 6 weeks with this practice and then at 36wks I get referred to one near the hospital.
My only concern is if I don't make it or I get stuck in traffic. I was told they won't induce (which I don't want anyway) me and my labors can go quick (I have had one where within 30 minutes of hard contractions I was ready to push and still at home!).
I am going to see if the other big hospital that is only 1 hr away will be able to do it. I am just excited that I will be given the chance because a 3rd c/s is not in my books (unless I medically needed it!)

Woohooo! That is awesome! Every labor can be different! ;) Might I suggest you have a backup plan in case you don't make it to the hospital? Do you know of a midwife who would come check on you and baby so if you had it at home you wouldn't have to go in to the hospital? :) That is what I hope for if I ever have another one...

No midwife in our area. This practice is transferring my care to another dr ofc at 36 wks. I wish I could have the baby at home but from what I have been told before they make the baby stay in isolation for 24hrs at the hospital (I would want him checked because our children have all had ABO Incompatibility and 3 required being under lights. I do know how to check myself (TMI sorry!) so I am hoping that all will go well with this one and I can manage at home for most of it.

Also, our pedi is not on board with me not having our son checked out in the hospital and I would not want to take him to his ofc shortly after birth. He also doesn't do home visits. We live in a tourist area and medical care for OB is so far behind the times...like 20 yrs!
