Our two items this week are a changing table and a "foot muzzy" for the car seat.

I never used my changing table...for my oldest I had a changing pad on the top of a dresser and never used it!! I always change my kids on my bed or on the couch....
I would say if you think you want one, get a dresser with a changing pad on top..that way if you don't use it you didn't buy a whole changing table...

I didn't have a "foot muzzy" like they make today but I do have a cover for the car seat with an opening for baby's face....its great in the winter you can strap them in, put on a blanket and this thing over them...you don't need a big snowsuit etc (depending on how cold it is where you live of course lol)

I wasn't going to buy a change table when I was pregnant with DS but it was mislabeled at the store for $11 instead of $110. So I picked one up. I have used it exactly once as a change table. But it does make a great way to organize multiple packs and sizes of diapers....

As for the car seat thingy, I would never use one that goes under the baby. They're dangerous. You should never put anything under baby that doesn't come with the seat - that includes 'after market' padding for the shoulder straps too. Car seats are crash tested the way they're sold to you. (See http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/roadsafety/safedrivers-childsafety-notices-d200401-menu-336.htm for more info and to see that I'm not just making stuff up :-)) I do have one of those bags in my cheap stroller though - the 5pt harness fits great though the velcro on the back and it keeps my LOs cozy in the winter when we're out for our walks.

Nothing wrong with the covers that go over the outside of the seat though. They don't mess with the integrity of the seat.

We got a change table for DD have been using it as a toy shelf downstairs and it's going to stay there...I might use the change pad on the dresser but will mostly just change LO on the bed or couch like Becky said. While I used the table fairly frequently with DD it's only cause we didn't have a couch in our apartment then...lol Life has changed a lot in 4 years so I'd say leave it for that.

The (outside) cover for the car seat I might consider although if this LO grows as long and as heavy as DD we might just get the rear facing five point harness car seat so that LO can be put into that in a snow suit...it gets pretty darn cold here so a snow suit makes way more sense and since LO will be a bit older by the time it's necessary I'm gonna say leave it, for now, might change my mind later...lol

I have a changing table that was given to us with DD. It was used more as a bookshelf than a changing table. I always just changed diapers on the bed or on the floor. Will still get it out for this one, but don't know if I'll use it for changes or more just for diaper storage and toys.

Won't be getting a cover. Doesn't get that overly cold here and when it does, we just pull a blanket over the carrier while getting from car to inside.

Changing table/dresser we are buying from my sister for next to nothing. Since it's a dresser/storage piece we will def be using it for that. I only used her's for her kiddos when they got older and getting on the ground was a hassle due to an injury.

The cover... no. Not cold enough here in Georgia so a blanket will be the key come time for our 2 months of 'winter'.

Someone gave me my changin table, and I intend to use it since the antique armoire I have for his room is too tall to put a changing pad on. I'm not sure if I would've purchased one on my own(maybe @ garage sale or off craigslist) on my own, or just changed him on the bed/sofa as others have mentioned. It is nice to have extra storage space though, with baskets of blankets, diapering need an such underneath.

I'll probably be using my convertible car seat by next winter ether than the carrier so not sure I'd be able to find a cover for it in particular and will probably just use blankets.
God does answer prayers....

A friend gave me her old changing table and since we are low on storage for baby clothes I'm using it. Probably not really to change the baby on it lol, but I've already organized the cloth diapers and am getting some canvas bins to store baby's clothes in it on the shelves below. The one we had for the boys was a dresser with a changing table, we used it in the beginning a little bit, but mostly did our changes on the floor. :c )

No foot muzzy for us ... Having a June baby, and summer lasts pretty long here in California, so really no need for it. I have a ton of blankets I can just put over him. :c )

We bought the dresser that fits the changing pad on top and used it ALL the time with DS- and will be using it with this little girl. I used it most of the time but the nursery is RIGHT down the hall from the living room and I also used it during the night, etc.
I did not use the belt but held the baby in place.

We did not have that snuggle suit thing but did have the carseat cover and a bunting type thing taht fit the seat belt through. The carseat cover that just fits over the top with the hole for the head was awesome- easy to unzip and get them in and out. I did not use the bunting thing very much after we got the carseat cover. It gets pretty cold here but I would just add an extra blanket/etc inside the carseat cover if needed.

No to either. I had a changing table with my 1st, but as i went thru other pregnancies it was the floor, couch, or bed. No need for a changing table, was just a place to throw all their crap i had gotten over the years :p

In winter i like the blanket that goes over the baby but not the muzzy...does that even make sense>?!

I'm saying no to the changing table since we're low on space in our house and she already has a tall dresser.

I will probably get a muzzy for transferring the car seat to and from the mall, etc. or when it is on the stroller. Honestly, I haven't decided what will work best since she has a snow suit.

The muzzy thing I wouldn't use DD was born in April and this one being Ron in June in south Va, too hot. So we don't have if you live somewhere cold maybe, or the baby is born in winter.

I used my changing table all the time we have one upstairs and one downstairs. After the c-section bending was hard, love it!

Leave them both. Neither are necessary.

I would take the changing table. I use it still for DD (I actually just used it 10 min ago lol). we don't use it for every change but when we're in her room I use it. It's nice because I don't have to bend over all the time to change her and now being pg I'm more grateful for it.

I'd say leave it and get the outside cover for the seat. they can be any size (mostly) with the outside one but for the fitted one well it has to be in there size. My friend bought us a Calgary Flames (hockey team) one and I used it with DD and I'm going to use it for this LO as well.
