I wouldn't do anything to induce labor - not worth it. At all.

If you're doing a home birth and your midwife recommends raspberry tea, then by all means drink it. But I wouldn't do it on my own as a way to start labor.

I agree with April, especially since you are only 36 weeks.  At 40 weeks, my reply might be different.

Besides, I have heard mixed reviews about the tea anyway.

It does NOT start labour, it helps the uterus contract WHEN labour begins,I used it from 22 weeks for 5 of my 6 pregnancies, it strengthens the uterus and when labour begins it helps the womb contract well.
It also helps with the recovery of the womb after birth. It doesn't start labour.
I had fast, effective labours, one labour that lasted 28 hours....the long labour was the one I did not use raspberry leaf tea! ( it was also my first baby ) It may be a coincidence but I certainly wasn't going to not drink the tea to see.
My DIL used raspeberry leaf tea from 28 weeks and her labour was relatively fast ( 6 hours) and her recovery was quick. I recommend it but really, this late in the pregnancy I am not sure it will make much difference. It certainly won't put you into labour.
