Well first off Never believe what a doc tells you, second never read medical records while crying.
last
night while I was more calm I got out my records again and read them
over and found the doc has no idea what he is talking about. the chart
he had that gave what the hormones should be at each week of
development were for fetal age I told him my gestational age which he
should have figured out by the date of my last AF which I gave him,
according to the chart I am in the normal range, not on the high end
but normal, However when I had my levels checked a day later they only
rose by 70 and it should have been a much greater number than that. a
ob/gyn told me in a very cold mater of fact way  "sometimes when
numbers do like yours do it is a nothing more than a blighted ovum"
that was pretty cold because with a blighted ovum their was conception
just when the baby died every thing else kept growing as if the baby
was alive not realizing the baby was gone.  I just had more blood work
today but I wont know what my new numbers for at least another day. I
am a wreck this is driving me nuts. I had a doc also suggest ectopic as
a possibility. Thats all I know for now.

I thought 30,000 seemed rather high!!!
As for the ob/gyn...hope you don't have to go back to that one. That is horrible.
As for what type of pregnancy it could be.....you're right...it could be any of those....or it could be none of those. I am praying for you that you can find a place of peace and rest until you know what is going on.
HUGS!!

I agree, 30,000 seemed very high for 5 wks!  I would say hold off on anything until you see your next set of numbers.  I don't know a thing about what numbers mean, just that they should double every 48-72 hours.  If you are already running into bedside manner issues and not getting reassurance or support from your OB care- find a new one.  It's a pain to switch but when you get a good OB who listens and cares, it makes a HUGE difference!
