I know I put a post but I discovered this right after that post was sent.
Yesterday
At my doc apt The doc did an exam on me. he put his fingers in my
vagina and pushed real hard and at the same time he took his other had
and pushed it down into my abdomen and pinched deep in my abdomen he
said he was "checking your [my] uterus to see if it was even" I thought
that was strange.
Now this morning when I got dressed to go out  I
noticed my abdomen is swollen. I am not quite 5 weeks along yet  so I
know it cant be the baby showing yet, but I have a very round pooch
sticking out this morning it is quite firm but not real hard.
the
doc did this exam before I could ask questions. I wish he would have
said this is what I am going to do, this is how I am going to do it,
and this is why I am going to do it. My oppinion is I am to early to do
any diagnostic any thing having to do with this baby unless if in the
blood work they find a hormone issue or nutritional issue. Outside of
that  if this is another bad pg then I will m/c no matter what at this
point because I am not very far along yet so what is the point in all
that invasive stuff seems like it could do more harm than good.
I
am concerned about my swelling now. Did he bruse me inside or
something? I look like I am 3-4months pg when I am only 4 weeks and it
happened overnight. thanks again for checking out my concerns

I had some pain issues around my c-section scar and my doctor did a lot of poking and prodding, it made me nervous at first and they did warn I could have spotting. I am now 17 weeks. As far as your stomach it could be bloat. I have read several post on other boards about bloating. My stomach can swell up huge with gas.

Good Luck and try to not to worry,
Emily

It could be bloat.  I know with my 2nd and 3rd preg I got bloated very quickly and looked noticeably pregnant at 10 weeks.  You can always call and ask what happened and why they did that type of exam.  That's why we pay them, to ease our fears and make sure baby is healthy.

I would call tomorrow and leave a msg for your nurse. Stress your concerns with her and see if you get any of your questions can get answered.

My first thought is that it's gas or bloating, which are both very normal with early pg.  Call your OB tomorrow morning just to be safe.

I would call just to be safe and also ask why they would feel they needed to do that. I have never had that done so I have no idea. GL!!
