I'm only about 4 to 5 wks pregnant, but started spotting yesterday. I only noticed it for a couple of hours, and it was light and brown in color. That was earlier in the day and it stopped after that. Well this afternoon I noticed spotting again. Brown spotting but not very heavy. Everything I've been able to read online says some brown spotting is fairly normal and common in early pregnancy. But I'm still freaked out. I have a confirmation appt Nov 30, then an u/s Dec 4. I haven't bothered to call my doc b/c there is probably nothing they can/will do.

Anyone else experience this? Anything I should look out for?

I never had any spotting with my pregnancies.  I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be passing clots...and there shouldn't be any cramping either.  I would probably call my dr and let them know what is going on.
hugs!

I have spotted with all 3 of my pregnancies now.

Brownish blood is old blood, sometimes there is some in there that gets pushed out.  It is fine.  If the bleeding turns heavy or to bright red blood, then you start to get nervous and need to call the doc.
You can call for this though. I did with my last pregnancy because it started brown and turned pinkish for several days. I went in for an u/s and then another u/s a few days later.  Everything was just fine!
You are right, spotting early in pregnancy is very, very common.  The color and length of yours sounds normal to me.

Thanks... it seems to have let up for the most part. Just there when I wipe sometimes.Still wearing a pantiliner just in case. I have my first u/s schedule for Dec 4th, so might as well wait til then. I appreciate the reassurance :)
