I went into labour at about 11 am and had the doula come over at about 3:30. The contractions got to the point where i was throwing up and not able to stay home.
We got to the hospital at about 5 pm where i was hooked up to an iv and given the antibiotics for being GBS positive.
They checked for dialation and i was 2 cm. I asked for the epidural because breathing was getting impossible. After i had it put in they broke my water and i went from 2 cm straight to 5-6cm. Nothing happened for about an hour after that then my doula decided to get me to roll onto my right side. From there it took less than a half an hour for him to come down and i was 10 cm and ready to push! It took less than a half hour to get him out. No vaccum no forceps no nothing!
There were a couple complications that were threatening to stop me from having the VBAC. Bruce had a bm inside me and his heart rate was hitting very high levels. So was mine!. Once he was out everything calmed down and everything was perfect! He had no issues after being born.
My heart rate wold not come down and we had to stay for an extra day and a half. After all the tests that were done we found out that i have an anxiety issue and i was uncomfortable with going home.
Good luck to all!
