Is it absolutely terrible that I am already considering disregarding doctor's orders and starting to try again in July instead of waiting until August? Clearly, I am really starting to feel a lot physically better this weekend!! Hence my crazy is coming back ;)

I only get + OPKs and Peak on fertility monitor every other month, and last month was super strong O symptoms and dark positives and this month no O symptoms besides being in the mood to BD. It's so tempting because I don't want to skip my strong month in July and not O in August! I have a post-op appt. in the beginning of July. Maybe I can convince my doctor to give me one round of clomid in August in exchange for me skipping July. He will surely tell me I am batty and he does not bargain with his patients! I need a new hobby to keep me busy until August!

I was the same way after my first d&c. The doc told me to wait 2 cycles and I only waited 1 (since my cycles are longer than normal). I can't help but wonder if that's why the second one didn't work out either, so this time I'm going to wait until August. Hopefully you get good news from the doctor in a couple weeks.

Hi there, I'm new on this board but I totally understand where you are coming from. Hopefully the doctor will be able to see that everything is healing nicely and can move up your TTC time. Don't forget to listen to your body though. I just had my first AF after my surgery and things just weren't...normal. So even though my ovulation time should be happening right now, I'm waiting another month. And I'm with you on the how to keep busy. It's like I need something to distract me so I don't keep counting the days!

You ladies are totally right. I know it's only one extra month, and my body needs time to heal. We'll see what the doc says. It definitely makes it easier knowing that a few of us are all in this waiting game together. Now we just need a project to keep us busy until then!

I agree, listen to your body, and also listen to the reasons why your Dr says you should wait. If it's just because then it's easier to figure out due dates or something, then definitely do your own research and make your own decisions. But if it's because he/she medically thinks your body needs that long to heal to have a successful pregnancy, I'd personally (and no judgment or telling you what to do here!) listen. After my D&C we were told to wait 3 months as my ob said she had to scrape my lining pretty hard and I lost a ton of blood. So we needed to give it three months so the lining could build up and we could have a successful pregnancy. After my natural m/c, she said we could start trying right away as everything looked great. We took her advice both times, but that was our decision.

Either way, it's not long to go now, and so exciting that you're getting everything all perfect for your little bean!

Definitely take your docs advice! They prescribe a treatment plan for good reasons. It's probably more do with healing than that your cycle will be whacked. Like Anna said, if they had to take a lot of tissue or suture anything, you'll need a little while to heal for it to be safe. I know... I'm a party pooper.... But at least ask and see what reason they give you to be waiting

I haven't had my big post-op appointment yet, so I don't know all the exact details, but I am pretty sure that the doctor had to slice completely into my uterus to get the fibroid out, so I know he is suggesting waiting until after 60 days because the uterus needs time to heal completely so it doesn't tear open during late pregnancy cause basically the worst situation imaginable. Thanks for keeping me sane ladies! It's crazy how DH and I both throw all logic out the window around day 14-18 every month! We did the same thing after the m/c. I blame the pheromones! Anyways, I've done a lot more research in the last 24 hours and decided that I am lucky Doc only said to wait 60 days then start TTC. A lot of doctors say 6 months, 1 year, or even 2 years!!!! You would find me in lots of doctors' waiting rooms looking for 2nd, 3rd, 4th... 35th opinions trying to find a doctor that would say less time than that!
