Two week update...

Well, this is a little late since he's 18 days old...but he had his two week checkup at 16 days, so it's not too late!

Christian is doing just perfect! He has been an eating fool lately, and it clearly shows! He was 9 lbs at his checkup - which means that he's gained 22 ozs since our discharge from the hospital 12 days earlier. The pediatrician said that he must be doing a number on my breasts! haha. But he said that's good news all around for both of us, which is a relief, because you just never know as a FTM whether or not you are doing everything right or not. I had no idea my little bug had even gained that much weight...it's funny how he doesn't look that much bigger to me. Otherwise, everything checked out just fine, so we are good to go.

I just love him so much. We are trying to adjust to life together these days, which has been a challenge for me. I am trying to figure out how to get some things around the house done every day while taking care of him, which is hard sometimes! I am using the Moby wrap from time to time, which helps, but it's hard to find times to do that every day when he isn't eating or sleeping and is actually fully awake! But we'll get it figured out. He is sleeping really well, too, which is good for both of us. I just need to start napping with him once a day - I've been really bad about that. All-in-all though, he's awesome and I can't get enough of him. Hope everyone else is doing just as well!
