I know that Tylenol is supposed to be safe during pregnancy and I have gotten a couple of really bad headaches and some sinus pain/swelling in recent weeks. However, it seems like taking a Tylenol for me is about as effective as popping an M&M. I can't take Advil like I did pre-pregnancy (which works like a charm every time for me).

Am I unusual or are there others out there that find Tylenol completely ineffective?

Yeah, my doctor told me that I can take regular strength Tylenol for headaches. When I'm not pregnant, Tylenol does nothing for me (extra strength) ... but for some reason when I'm pregnant the regular strength works! It makes no sense, but I don't complain. Have you tried it at all since you became pregnant? Maybe you will get lucky too :-)

I'm right there with you! I've had a KILLER headache for 3 days now :( I took tylenol all day yesterday with no relief. If it's sinus pressure that's causing it, take some warm compresses and put them over your forehead/eyes. For non-sinus pressure, I've found cold works better to constrict the blood vessels. Kohl's had some aromatherapy masks that you can put in the fridge/freezer to make cold or put in the microwave to make warm....something like that would work well too. I hope you find some relief soon! It sucks, I know! :(

I would be careful of this though.....it says it's got 500mg of aspirin in it and even after the 1st trimester it's recommended to stay away from aspirin. It's been linked to decreased growth, placental abruption, and heart & lung issues.

It doesn't do a thing for me. I feel the same way might as well eat m & m's for as much as it helps me. It doesn't even make any difference. The thing that works best for me is a heating pad that heats up in the microwave but any heat or heating pad should help. And if you can lay in a dark quiet room (excuse me while I laugh at myself here becuase I have a 3 1/2 yr old) and water will help too. Basilly I just have to wait it out which sucks if I'm at work or some where other than home.

I've noticed that when I get headaches, its probably because I haven't drinken enough water. So, I pop some tylenol and drink LOTS of water. Also, a little caffeine has helped me in the past.
