Since it would be a frozen embryo transfer, I think the process would be shorter than a full fresh IVF cycle - no need to stimulate ovaries and do egg retrieval.
Do you have a cut off age that you have in mind? We are almost the exact age and I find myself counting out 9 months and then 9 mo again and trying to figure out how much space I could "try" to put in between pregnancies (I am scared of back to back pregenancies and being fat the rest of my life!). But then thinking maybe not to try to prevent if/when I have our first and just let nature have her way. I would really like to be done having babies by 40/42 at the latest. DH is 8 years older than me - seriously can retire in 6 years! What are we thinking??
Ideally, I would do this by the time I am 40 - so in 2 years. But that would mean 4 kids under the age of 5 and 3 kids in diapers. FWIW, pregnancy has been a good thing for my body. I am 5'0 tall and in 2010 at the start of my pregnancy I weighed 167. It made me realize I needed to be more healthy so I could have a safe pregnancy and be healthy to raise my family. I changed my eating habits, and weighed 142 6 months after having my dd. This pregnancy, I started at 155 - _ gained over 10lbs because of fertility drugs. and am now at 138. Pregnancy does not have to mean wrecking youir body. I have just, with my dr, carefully managed my diet.
Hope to see your BFP very soon!
