DH and I have 2 boys and 2 girls names picked, but we are having a difficult time coming up with middle names. We both agree we'd like to use a combination or syllables of our parents and/or grandparents names for middle names. Please help!!!

Boys: Hudson or Jackson
Girls: Oaklee or Emma

Parents/Grandparents:
Richard, Robert/Lee, Joe, Harlan, Merle
Marlene, Kari/Carol, Geraldine, Yvonne, Janice

*one of the last names of grandparents is Coulter, which could be a possibility for a MN also?!

I really like the idea of using Coulter for the mn. Hudson Coulter is nice, or Emma Coulter

I really don't like Oaklee at all. Emma is beautiful. I like both Hudson and Jackson though I like Hudson best. However, I like just Jack at least as well as Hudson.

Jackson Lee is nice for a boy if you go with Jackson (not crazy about the flow of Jackson Coulter, though it's not awful, just not my taste)

Emma Geraldine is so classic and pretty but I also like Emma Carol. Or Emma Caroline.

Were you to choose Oaklee, Oaklee Janice would work ok.

mns derived from the names you provided:

Josephine - either Emma Josephine or Oaklee Josephine works
Meryl - Oaklee Meryl would work

my nephews: Alec, Jackson, Elijah, Hayden, Eric, Atreus, Nicholas, Isaac, Samuel
my niece: Rubie

I like Hudson much better than Jackson - Jackson is just so popular and overused right now. Hudson Coulter would be awesome! Sounds very handsome. I also would like Hudson Robert.

Emma and Oaklee is a closer call. Emma is like Jackson, I'm just so tired of hearing it. But Oaklee reminds me of sunglasses, and she would *always* have to spell it out for people. I think if it was Oakley, that might win by a hair.

Emma Caroline and Oaklee Caroline both sound pretty. Oaklee Maren could honor Marlene, kinda. These are hard names to work with! I suppose Lee / Leigh would work as Emma's MN, but then it sounds like Emily. Maybe Emma Josie?

I'd go with Caroline for a girl - it covers Carol and Geraldine, maybe even Kari too. I really like Emma Caroline, and although Oaklee is NMS, it sounds good with Caroline too. Jane is also an option (for Janice), and Emma Jane is super cute.

For a boy, I'm really liking Coulter. If you're open to two MNs, Jackson Coulter Lee would be great.

I like both Hudson and Jackson. I think Coulter would be an awesome MN with either one. Robert or Lee also sound good to me. And Hudson Joseph/Joe.

I'm not a big fan of Oaklee but I think Emma is pretty. Emma Caroline or Emma Josephine is gorgeous.

I like Hudson and Jackson. I like Jackson more but it's very popular in my area (south USA). Coulter goes great with both names.

I think Oaklee is cute but i'm not sure it ages well. Although, it could honor the grandparent named Lee. Emma is pretty, feminine, and cute but also very popular.

Combinations of GP's names:
Carlene/Karlene (from Carol/Kari and Marlene)
Mari (from Kari and Marlene)
Leelan (from Lee and Harlan)
Harlee (from Harlan and Lee)
Marlee (from Merle, Marlene and Lee)
Karlee (from Kari and Lee)
Rolan (from Robert and Harlan)
Jolene (from Joe and Marlene)
