Insect Repellent!

So this weekend I sprayed on some insect repellent well at my MIL.... didn't even think! She lives about three hours north of me and on the edge of the woods so the bugs are REALLY bad! Anyways, today I mention something about bugs being bad to my day care provider and she doesn't know I am pregnant... she started to tell me about how bug spray is bad for children under 6 and pregnant women!

I am freaking out! I have no idea the level of DEET in the spray I used! I only applied once and not that much ..... a lot on my feet!


Any thoughts???

I used it last night. Should be a problem! Just take a shower when you come indoors after use. I didn't use much but I get bit so often its ridiculous. Don't worry I am positive a little spray isn't going to do anything!

We have West Nile going around here so I figure the amount of bug spray I use (when I use it), is a lot safer than contracting West Nile.

I'm sure if you used only a little bit everything should be fine. I think those warnings are made for people who use stuff in excess.

Repel is a deet free bug spray. That's what we use. But I think a little bit is ok.

I had the same worry! DF mentioned it and I went inside immediately and showered and scrubbed like a mofo! lmbo! But I agree with the ladies, a little bit shouldn't hurt and it was just once.

Thanks ladies, I feel much better and appreciate your info. Sotimes I feel like I am being to paranoid about things! I drive my poor DH crazy!!
