Hey ladies... I have been away for a few days on a mini vacation in VT. Back today until Thursday and then leaving for Cape Cod for long weekend.

I was wondering when everyone started feeling baby kick from the outside? I have been feeling him from the inside for a few weeks not but still not from the outside and I want my DH to be able to feel soooo badly :-)

For me it was a couple weeks ago but it can take awhile with your first. I think with my first it was around 24 weeks when DH started to feel him.

I know with my first it was the day of his 20 week gender U/S and with this one it was probably around the same time. But I know lots of people who didn't feel it until closer to 25 weeks.

I think I was 20 weeks and DH just felt it at 22 weeks. With our first I was around 23 or 24 weeks when he felt it. :)

This is our first and I first felt the first movement the evening before our gender U/S, 18w 2d. I asked DH to come feel and see if he could tell, and sure enough, he felt it too! It was exciting that we both got to feel her move at the same time.

I mean this in the nicest of ways, but it's really what I think. I think sometimes it depends on how much "outer cushion" there is - that is, if you have very little belly fat, there is less in between the outside adn your uterus. If there is some, like me, there is more that the baby has to be strong enough to get past to make presence known outside!

Last time I think my husband felt the baby between 24 and 27 weeks (I really only felt the baby myself around 22-23 weeks). Sadly, he hasnt even tried to feel this baby yet, but I am fairly sure he could feel it now, and I'm 23 weeks.

HTH.

With DD#3, it wasn't until 24 weeks that I felt her on the outside.

I've been feeling the baby kick since week 20 or so. My dh has felt the baby around week 22-23. This is baby#3 for me and I'm fairly thin and I've felt kicks earlier than most, not sure if that makes a difference. :)

I'm almost 23 weeks, and just starting to occasionally feel baby on the outside. DH hasn't yet... mostly cuz baby doesn't seem to move much when he's around!! lol I still only feel baby intermittently throughout the day, but for sure a few times a day minimum.

With previous pregnancies it was much later, especially when DH felt it. This time I started feeling them on the outside between 18-19 weeks. I think I have a strong kicker.

I started feeling the baby around week 18. And just this week I am feeling it from the outside too. The baby has been moving so much lately. This is my 3rd and I don't remember this much movement throughout the day. I go tomorrow for my US to find out the gender! I'm so excited

Melissa I'm glad you asked this question because I've been wondering the same thing. DH keeps trying to feel the baby, but he's yet to. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks for me too.
