Hi ladies, I haven't posted in a while but I needed some information/advice from some ladies who know. I had a miscarraige in January of this year at 17 weeks. We have 2 healthy boys and had no issues at all getting pregnant with either of them or our angel. Angel Baby Ashton was born still at 17 weeks with her intestines outside her body. So, she more than likely had physical issues that caused the miscarraige and not anything that was wrong with my body. DH and I immediately began ttc again and this is cycle 6. I am cd 23. I went to my OB this past wednesday for a progesterone draw and it shocked me to find out that it was low. It was 7.7 and my dr said he likes it to be a 10. I am getting positive OPK's and my cycle on FF looks good I think. I have only been charting for two cycles but it seems I am ovulating according to my chart. What do you ladies think? Do i still have a chance for a BFP this month? If I get a positive, do I need to be on progesterone supplements? If I am not pregnant, will my dr likely suggest clomid for my next cycle? I have an appt with him on Tuesday. I am just so clueless about all this so I need any help, information or personal experiance any of you can give me. It has never taken us this long to get pregnant (thankfully!) and I want another LO so bad I can't even explain it! Thanks to anyone who will respond. :)

Hi Erin, I don't have any experience with temping...but I just wanted to say that I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I hope you get your questions answered here and at your appointment. Low progesterone is an easy thing to fix in the grand scheme of things. I'm tempted to call my doctor about this for myself. I know I've had mine draw before, but I have no idea what it was or when you're suppose to have your blood drawn- as far which part of your cycle...? Anyway, best wishes to you!!

Your chart looks great! If you get BFP, have your doc test progesterone and they might have you start supplements. Since you ovulate already, it would be asinine and irresponsible of your doctor to prescribe clomid. A progesterone supplement is the only way to increase progesterone.

Hi Erin, my name is Kim. I just wanted to welcome you to the board and tell you I am so very sorry for your loss. I will pray that you get your rainbow baby soon!

If it seems like you are O'ing, I don't think the doc will prescribe clomid. As Melanie said, progesterone is an easy fix, so I think the doc will just keep an eye on that in this and your following cycles and expecially once you get your BFP. Let us know when you have an update after your appointment. GL :)

I was progesterone tested at 5w3d pregnant and my level was only 8.2, my doctor was very concerned that this was the source of the cramps I'd been having. (although at 5 weeks, I didn't even know I was pregnant.)
I did a little digging on the subject and the levels that women have during a cycle vary IMMENSLEY, and in the first trimester sit any where from 10-30. Mine being so low I was put on a progesterone suppliment 3x daily, and I haven't had anymore of those cramps yet. My doctor said he wouldn't worry as long as it stayed above 16, my gyn said she'd be happy with about 20. So there is just soooo much room to wiggle and it varies so much from woman to woman.
PS my last pull from 6w4d, which was after I started the suppliments, was 24.6.

pss, My heart goes out to you and yours at your recent loss.
