Okay so with my 1st pregnancy I completely stayed away from caffeine but with each one after that I have indulged from time to time. Just wondering how many of you include caffeine in your pregnancy diet and how often??

I have switched my coffee to decaff, but will occasionally have a caffeinated one. Also, with pop, I will have a can, but not everyday. Some days are just worse then others (yesterday I had two), but I also tend to try and drink more water. My Dr. said it was fine in moderation and I feel like every now and then, its ok. My co worker who just had her little guy 2 weeks ago went the whole time without any. Good luck, but your bound to get some sort of caffeine in the things you eat or drink, no matter how hard you try and not consume any! If you want it, have it! (but in moderation!).

I have a regular cup of coffee in the morning still. Usually I never finish it or one of the kids spill it. I have cut out all pop that I use to drink during the day. I do however splurge if we go out to a movie and order a coke with cherry grenadine in it. Its my craving and absolute fave.

Maybe I'm a bad mommy, but I have soda everyday. I get caffeine headaches if I don't have at least one glass, and to me it's not worth it to be useless the rest of the day especially when I have a baby to take care of already. I drank it everyday with DD and she's fine. I've been used to drinking caffeine since I was a child (we usually had sweet tea) so it doesn't effect me other than the headache with out it. I'm the same way with sugar, it never got me hyped up as a kid.

You're not a bad mommy! Everyone is different and it does affect everyone differently. I wouldn't worry too much about it, honestly. I had a friend who drank fully leaded Mt. Dew everyday, all day, throughout her pregnancy and her children are just fine! So, drink on!

I tried to quit with DD and it just made me sick. I get frequent migraines anyway so I don't want to do anything to cause one.

My doctor told me I could have two caffinated drinks a day. Even though he said that I switched my coffee to decaf. I try not to drink any caffine at all but sometimes I NEED IT! I have been so tired this first trimester. I usually save my caffinated drink for the middle of the day to help me thru if I need it. Most days I just take a nap and forget about it. My answer to caffeine is YES but in moderation. Hey the way I look at it... some people want to have their baby natural... no way they will have an epidural and more power to them. For me... I will take my one cup of coffee and as soon as I can be given me the epidual... DO IT!!! I figure why suffer if you don't have to. It's a personal choice.

I'm a migrane sufferer as well. I have my morning 12oz joe - I used to drink a 20 but scaled back during my last pregnancy and never resumed. Sometimes on Wednesdays I have another caffienated drink in the evening to get through my night class but I try to do just the a.m. Coffee. I did the same with DD and she was 40 weeks 1 day 7lbs. No issues, they link excessive caffeine to low birth weight right?

Not sure. DD was 7 lbs 1 1/2 oz though.

I have at least a cup of caffeine per day or either just on days I work. I have been drinking lattes, which are half coffee and half milk, I also drink frappucinos, and decaf tea. I have cut out pop all together.

I haven't had caffeine all week this week and last night right before work (I work in a fine dining restaurant as a server) I needed something to get thru the night. I had a cup of coffee and ZOOM! I felt like a million bucks! Funny how when you dont have it daily and all day long like normally what one little cup of coffee will do.

I have cut back a lot but still have 1-2 cups of coffee a day. I will also have tea and a soda here and there, maybe once a week. I really didn't cut back too much at all with my other two and they are perfectly fine. I am trying to do better this time though.

I have never been a huge drinker of caffeine but I do once in a while have a glass of soda that has it or a cappuccino that is sugar free to warm me up. I agree in moderation.
