Today, I'd like to do a Wednesday question... What's your TTC regime? What vitamins/supplements/medications are you taking and why? Do you have a BD schedule around O this month? Have you been working out?

I guess I'll start this one out.

This is our second cycle back from back-to-back miscarriages earlier this year. We took 4 cycles off (3 regulated by the pill). I'm currently just taking prenatal vitamins and baby aspirin. While we haven't done any testing yest, baby aspirin has been known to help with recurrent m/c's. I usually O around CD20, so we start BD'ing about CD16 and go until my temp rises. This cycle I'm going to try opk's again - I used them earlier this year and never got a positive (but obviously o'd since I got pregnant). After my second d&c in June, I trained for and ran in the Chicago half marathon, and since then DH and I joined a gym and we work out a few times a week. While I by no means consider myself in shape, I'm definitely doing much better than where I was at about six months ago.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

I'm a bit outside this question as we aren't allowed to BD right now and I've got no eggs left to fertilize in there :/ but I thought this would be a good information-sharing session for each other.

I'm taking a Rx prenatal, folate, and fish oil with EPA and DHA. I'm taking these because they are all very important in brain and heart development and help decrease the chance of birth defects and neurological development defects.

I'm also on progesterone and baby asprin in the second half of my cycle to help reduce the risk of m/c.

IVF specific drugs taken during this cycle
follistim
menopur
ganirelix
HCG trigger shot
Z-pak
steroids to heal uterus after retrieval

Basically, not working out at all! These hormones really affected me, and I have not felt up to doing much (excuses excuses excuses!!).

Mine is a tall list, but a lot of research and 2 years of TTC went into it ;)

Every day I take
- Rx Grade prenatal which includes folic acid
- Borage oil and Fish oil with GLA, EPA and DHA
-CoQ10
- Vitamin D
- L-Arginine
- DHEA
- Royal Jelly
- Wheat grass
- Melatonin (at night)

During Menstrual cycle:
herb formula Tao Hong Si Wu Tang - Invigorates & Tonifies Blood, and Regulates Menstruation by clearing any stagnation that may impede the quality and movement of qi and blood in the following cycle & facilitates the complete discharge of menstrual blood so that the new endometrial lining can grow on a smooth, clean base.

During Follicle phase:
herb formula Gui Shao Di Huang Wan - nourishes both the yin and blood to help fertility signs show clear improvement. Can make long or short follicular phases regulate, cervical mucus increases, menstrual blood quantity and quality improve, and makes basal body temperature charts become more even.
- Raspberry Leaf tea

During Luteal phase:
herb formula Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan - Used to prevent miscarriage and for treatment of immunologic and inflammatory conditions of the uterus including uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, chronic PID, inflammation of the fallopian tubes and endometriosis.

Acupuncture 2x a month
Fertility yoga at least once a week
Gluten-free and Dairy-free diet
BD for fun as much as we can :)

IVF specific drugs:
Decapeptyl (Lupron)
Menopur
HCG trigger shot
I'll also be on progesterone and baby aspirin after IVF and take an herbal formula called "peaceful fetus" to prevent miscarriage.

This is my first cycle trying, I am planning on doing the same things I did when I got pregnant with my daughter. everyday I take a Prenatal Vitamin and a iron supplement, I've needed to up my iron intake ever since my last trimester with my daughter. I also like to take a vitamin C, especially during cold and flu season, but that it for me really, pretty basic.

Our first round of TTC all we did was use Preseed and BD as much as possible, that was a whole lot easier without kids! This time around, DH and I are a bit older, have 3 young kids at home and spend a whole lot less time on ourselves. We are using Preseed, during the feritile period, I am taking Fertilaid (may have him take it if we don't get our BFP this time) and I watch the calendar like crazy and make sure that BDing happens when I appear to be most fertile. Certainly less romantic this time around, but it's a different time of life for us, and we'll love a baby no matter how it was made! :)

We're on cycle #4 which was our lucky cycle the first time around, one time we're hoping to repeat the past.

Well this is cycle 2 for us and there's not a lot of pressure which is nice. I'm still trying to pinpoint when I O, which is tricky since I'm pretty irregular. I started using an OPK this cycle, but I may have missed the window, since I started on CD 12. I'm also trying to keep track of CM. I tried temping, but I always wake up at night, and rarely remember to actually temp. Also my dog keeps trying to eat the thermometer.... maybe she's trying to tell me something!!

I'm taking vitafusion gummy prenatal vitamins because they're delicious, and if they taste good I might remember to actually take them.
