Ok ladies, I need some advice/helpful tips and tricks. I will be flying to Texas when I am 28/29 weeks (I already got the go ahead from the dr and will get my note from him should the airlines require it)

What Im wondering is, have any of you flown at this stage in pregnancy and what did you do to stay as comfortable as possible? The last time I flew was at 16 weeks and it was the WORST flying experience of my life, I was nauseous and extremely uncomfortable so I am hoping to make this time better. Any advice would be so appreciated!

Thank you!!!

I believe i was around that last time i flew and it was only a 45 min to 1.5 hour flight so i wasn't that uncomfortable

I flew around 20 weeks and then again at 25 weeks, and it wasnt so bad for me.... but I hate flying anyways because I find it so uncomfortable to be cooped up for so long. I wuold say for sure get an aisle seat (I had to pee like 4 times each way, and i felt bad for the lady on the aisle). If you get nauseous, maybe try ginger candies or tea if you can get it in. If you want to try to sleep, a neck pillow thing or a blanket... and a good book!! Colorado to TX shouldnt take too long, right? My biggest dread about flying is all the germs, so personally i focus on just beefing up my vit c beforehand, lots of water, and wash my hands often! :) Have a great trip... it's for your baby shower, right!?

My DH and I flew to San Diego for our babymoon with DS around that time, I think I was a couple weeks behind though at like 26/27.

I really dislike the takeoff and the landing. Mostly the worst part for me is when they shut off the cabin air, I feel like I can't breathe. I start to sweat and feel really nauseaus then. I did surprisingly well though, I just made sure I had plenty of water all day and especially during the flight. We also packed our own snacks which helped too, because the peanuts are just too salty. Hopefully since you are in your third trimester you won't be feeling so yucky.

Thanks ladies! I wouldn't have thought about loading up on vit c before hand, but that is great advice! I will definitely be taking my own snacks too. I didnt even think about the fact that I get hungry in no time these days and flying usually makes me a little bloaty anyways, definitely dont need that extra salt!
