sooo I had a pretty easy birth and labor and I'm just so curious as to why nobody ever told me how horrible it is on your body after the baby is here! I'm so so sooo happy she is here, but it seems like people who have had children never talk about the bad things that happen after the fact. One of my friends just learned she is preggo so I'm like..nobody ever told me these things so I'm going to tell you! Did anyone else feel this way? I cannot imagine you ladies that had 50 and 60 stitches, I salute you cause I feel like a big baby!

Yea after sucks especially those w/ stitches.. I didn't have 50-60 but did get stitched up in 3 places down there and they hurt for weeks after.. other then that the only other pain I had was my breasts since I'm not breastfeeding my milk came in but stayed in so they got rock hard and hurt for almost 3 weeks.. had to wear a support bra 24/7 for those 3 weeks only taking it off to shower...

I was one of those with 50-60 stitches. Man, let me tell you... it was (and still is!) brutal! I'm three and a half weeks out and STILL feeling some pain down there!

67 stitches over here!!! Yeh.......it sucked. I had a complete meltdown in the hospital because I could barely get out of bed to take care of my little man. I'm 16 days out now and I'm not sore anymore but somewhat uncomfortable. I did yoga 2 days ago (very modified) but its still pretty awkward.

I stand by myself saying......"I don't think that I will ever say that anything hurts again after this experience" lol

I only had a few stitches so I must say I am feeling great. I actually feel like nothing ever happened, but I am still following directions as far as not working out or having sex, etc until I get cleared at my 6 week appointment. I had a bad experience after my csection so maybe just comparing the two makes it different for me. The cracked bleeding nipples weren't awesome at first but they cleared up after a week with loads of nipple cream.

Hang in there girl! I hope you feel better soon!

At my mothers group, there was a lady that said.... each person's labour and delivery is unique to each person and what each person needs. Another mom said she learned by herself because no one told her anything. Like using cotton pads and not normal ones while recovering.... she got an infection because of that.

For me, I am recovering from a c-section. I didn't realize how immobile you will be. I have to have my husband help me out of the bed. I have forgotten mostly what happened over the week I was in labour. Can't quite forget the c-section as I am still recovering. My mom was surprised that I was thinking of a VBAC the next day. She said she didn't think about that for a long time afterwards. Every birth story is unique to the person.
