I m/c a month ago, it was our first, I was sad but at the same time, hopeful b/c now I believe that I can! Idk why but, my Ob said I can concieve day 5 after I m/c but, I was thinking I need to cope with it mentally, emotionally, and physically.

I feel that it happened for a reason, I was reading that dental hygiene is important while trying to get pregnant, I HATE THE DENTIST with a passion, they scrape your gums, drill on your teeth and everything! I haven't gone in years!

This past Monday, I had a root canal done on the spot, I now have to go back for a cleaning, get wisdom teeth pulled out and a crowning.

I think that I am going to get all my dental work done, to be safe and be sure so I won't have any problems down the road.

What are your opinions?

I'm very sorry about your m/c :(

I agree that dental hygiene is very important while TTC and especially while PG. It's a great idea to get ahead of the curve now. Pregnancy is rough on your teeth and your gums, so it's best to get them in good shape before your next PG. It sounds like you are doing a great job of stepping up so that you will be totally ready when you get your next BFP. Are you going to wait a couple of cycles or start trying again right away? I hope your wait isn't very long and you get a very sticky bean the next time you get a BFP!!

Get the dental work done first if you can. If you have problems while pg, the dentists are limited to what they can do to help. I had a veneer break while pg. I had the remaining veneer removed, tooth filed, new veneer made and 'installed', all without anything to numb the pain. Ouch! Also, like pp said, pg really is rough on the gums.

Thank you guys for your kind words! I truly appreciate it! I am going to get everything done! It's okay if I'm 32+ when I get pregnant, I want to be healthy, I was worried much but the dentist said I got the hard part done w/ the root canal. I will probably wait until March-April...or maybe it may happen on it's own? :)

Thanks for your kind words and support!

32 is a great time to get started. All my girlfriends who have babies started at 37 or 38!

Awww thank you guys for the positive feedback! I feel like I'm so behind on everything! I got married at 26 which is considered old in our culture! LOL!!!!!

Thanks everyone for the comments! :)

Have a great weekend!

I agree with previous posters. When I had my son I didn't go to the dentist during my pregnancy and ended up loosing a tooth (far back, thank god!) afterwards. With my daughter I was soooooo vigilant about my teeth and am now religious about flossing and regular checkups and what not...
best of luck to you!

Thanks everyone! I am gonna go see the dentist and get my health in check first!

In our culture, I should have kids already but w/ my PCOS and trying to control it, it's takign longer, I think when it is time, it'll happen.
