Stocking on the Milestones

It's been a busy week for Damien.
He finally got his thumb and now quite happily sucks on it instead of his paci.
He is on full smile/laugh overload.
The cooing is also on overload and he is so much fun.
And finally and it is the best, he is sleeping through the night! Ok ok it happened only the last 2 nights but I am an optimistic, he slept both times from 9.30pm til 7am. I actually woke up during the night to check on him and also because my boobs were on geyser-and-rock-hard-mode.

Quick question by the way: Do my breasts magically understand that it is nighttime and they don't get too full at night or will I always have to wake up during the night to pump? Any tips?

I love it when babies start smiling and cooing - makes your heart melt

and yay for you that your LO is sleeping so long at night - we are not even close to that yet. As for the breast engorgement - as soon as it becomes regular, your breastmilk will regulate and you will not have to deal with it anymore.

Yay on all of the developments!! Daniella has been sleeping pretty well at night- she settles between 11p and midnight, wakes up once for a feeding (between 1 and 3) and then sleeps until 6 or 7.

Any tips on how to get her to settle earlier than 11- I am going back to work soon and if she could settle by 10, wake up once for a feeding, and then sleep until 6 life would be good

Well, I do not know if it is anything we are doing or just Damien deciding he is ready. We do give him a bath or sponge bath every night at 7.30pm ish, then he nurses at 8pm and he is usually fussy and eats a little more around 9-9.30pm then we let him fall asleep on us for about 15 min (after changing him) and then he goes to bed. We do swaddle him too.

He is great during the night and has always been but the day is another thing. He usually sleeps for 20 min max between feedings, eats every 2, 2 and a half hour. He does take a longer nap in the afternoon, about 1 hour straight, 1h and a half. So during the day, I don't get to do much.

I try and let her cluster feed at night to get Annabelle to settle down. She's typically asleep by 10 and wakes up at 3:30 to feed once.
