aspirin & AF?

i started an aspirin regimen last week u nder direction of my RE. This AF though i have been bleeding like crazy! Usually i have on ly 1 day of heavy flow and i am going on day 2 now with no end in sight.... the only thing i can think of that would be different is the aspirin is causing me to bleed more? anyone else have this happen to them? ugh... i'm hoping the extended/heavy bleeding won't cause me to delay my sonohistogram next week!

What dose of aspirin are you taking? I was only taking baby aspirin and it didn't effect AF at all. On a hopeful note, I got pregnant 2 months after starting aspirin. Good luck to you!

Aspirin is a blood thinner. It causes the blood to flow better, so it can cause your AF to be worse.

i'm taking 81mg. I wasnt' expecting it to affect anything and my RE nor nurses said anything but it does make sense.... just surprised me, that's all! i had to run out and get more protection! doh!
