I've been laying down since about 7:40 and my contractions stopped around 9:10.. I think I'll be fine. I just need to keep resting with my feet up and drink lots of after! I have a dr appt on Monday and will have my dr check my cervix!

Yikes! Tell that little one to keep baking!

I don't know much, but I'd keep it up with the hydration, and rest as much as possible. I know that my Braxton Hicks contractions lessen if I drink a lot of water and put my feet up, though I have no idea if it would do the same for "real" contractions.

Glad they seem to have stopped for now- I'll be interested to hear what your doc says on Monday!

Timing them is a good idea. (I am sure you already know). I would call the dr - just so they know whats going on.

with my DD I started with BH around week 34 - they werent the real thing for sure ;) (did I read somewhere before that you didnt have BH with your lil girl?... I could be wrong and it was maybe someone else?)

anyways: my dr says contractions every 5 minutes. He also wants me to time the individual contractions to note the peak.

With my first I was told to wait until the ctx were 5-8 minutes apart. I remember driving myself to the hospital just to get checked out before work cuz I was having ctx about every 5-6 minutes. That was about 5 a.m. and I was dilated to a 4. They kept me considering me in active labor at that point. Baby was born about 6 hours later.

With my second, I was actually going in to prepped for an induction the next day, sat down on the bed and my water broke. The ctx started and got very intense very quickly, so bad I didn't bother to time them--I knew what was going on--they were probably 3-4 minutes apart. Water broke at 7:00 (I remember watching Judge Judy in the bed), by 8:00 the pain was so intense and labor was on strong. Then my son was born 2.5 hours later.

Pretty much until they get to 6-7 minutes, I would hold off. When it's the real thing, more than likely you will know without a doubt.

Well I'm definitely having really contractions.. They aren't BH! I have BH contractions too and they don't hurt, uncomfortable may be but don't hurt.. These are real contractions and are painful! At my last appointment my doctor had said that he didn't want me having anymore than 5 contractions a day.. I'm glad that I didn't go to the hospital to get checked since they calmed down after awhile of resting! I'm definitely working harder to make sure that I stay extra hydrated. I've been very stressed out lately and I think I just need a few days to myself to relax!

I have some pretty painful ones at work. I drink more water and they stop. We need to stay hydrated and keep baking these little ones.
