Hi! I have LOTS of experience in this field, unfortunately. I am a fellow PCOS'er and I'm also a nurse.
I just got AF today after a failed cycle. I had 1 follicle on my right on day 12 that was a 10mm. When I went back on day 15, that one had not grown, but I grew 2 on my left, a 14 and a 12. We decided against doing an IUI because it's too expensive and I have to drive 1 1/2 hours anyway. Well, it didn't work on it's own.
Anyway, if it gives you some hope, I have 2 children (1 born before PCOS diagnosis and 1 born after). Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
Usual cycle with a reproductive doc (with Clomid)
CD 3- check for residual (any cycts leftover on the ovaries) ultrasound and bloodwork (FSH, estridol, etc) (Start Clomid on day 3 or 5)
CD 12-follicle check (see how many have grown or are grown and how close to maturity they are)
CD 21- Progesterone check to see if you did indeed ovulate. Low levels indicate anovulation (mine before were like 1.9)
Hope that helps some! As I said...don't hesitate to contact me if you want to talk!
