Glad I'm not alone at least. Yes Sylvia, every "Hallmark" holiday in America is hyper commercialized and exploited. Every grocery store, every pharmacy, every coffee shop, jewelry store, department store, home improvement store, amusement park, museum, and health and wellness facility has some large something for mothers day. If you can give something as a gift, they exploit the heck out of the holidays.
Even if it is for the children, I don't socialize with children I socialize with adults so I get their side of the celebration, not a gratefulness to have their mother but to be parents themselves.
Quashers is right It's like Valentines day where if you have no one to couple up with you feel really left out sort of dreading everyone's stories of how great it is to be able to participate in the holiday.
I sort of want to call it TTC or Infertility Awareness day (Like Valentines Day is Single's Awareness Day)
