Hi! PCOS can be REALLY confusing. What it boils down to is that your body produces little tiny cysts that grow on your ovaries, sometimes preventing ovulation. With me, when I'm not on fertility meds, I have around a 55-60 day cycle. Meaning that I ovulate, but it is SO late in the cycle that it's no good. I am sure you would get a positive ovulation kit when you are indeed O'ing, but with PCOS, it is hard to tell WHEN you're Oing. You can have mild PCOS and have normal cycles (to my knowledge). I had 2 children before I got an official diagnosis. 1 was conceived without ANY help. The second I was on Metformin and Femara (my doc suspected PCOS).
Do you have any PCOS symptoms? Hair growth? Acne? Deepening voice?
What kind of testing did you have done to get this diagnosis?
