As a mommy with a 6 year old boy, I can totally relate. We were at a point where I too questioned whether my son had ADHD or was just being a boy. For us, fortunately I now think he's just being a boy - wow, can boys be a handful or what?!? :D
We did find that changing my son's diet did a world of wonders for him. He also has grown out of some of the behaviors that had left me questioning.
Maybe a good middle ground for you and your husband would be to just take your son to the family doctor and just discuss the situation. Tell the doc whats going on and your concerns and see what he/she thinks. They'll be able to tell you their opinion and offer some reccomendations on what to do - or not do. Also, keep in mind that ADHD is harder to diagnose in young children and many doctors like to wait until the child is 8 (giving them time to outgrow some "normal" behaviors).
