Hi ladies I have a question. I'm not sure if any of you are actual lactation consultants but I thought I'd throw this out there. I ended up pumping and bottle feeding my son because I have large nipples and he had a small mouth and we could not get the latch right. And once his mouth was bigger he didn't want me but the plastic nipple. I had several other issues as well but I beleive they all stemed from this.

So my question do you think I will have this problem again? I have now found a great LC who helped me solve my other problems so I'm hopeful that this time around she can help me fix this before it blows up. Thanks for your opinions.

I dont know if you will have that problem again. Every nursing experience is different. Your next baby may come out and get the latch down right away. I think it is fantastic that you have the LC that has helped you before. That will help a lot. Also, not sure if a nipple shield would help if you do have problems in the begining. Good luck!

No lactation consultants on here that I know of. I agree with pp. It may be totally different this time. So glad you found a good LC. Wishing you better success this time around!!!
