I've noticed over the past couple of months that when I wake up in the morning my feet feel miserable! It is almost painful to walk on them and they feel sore, achy, and raw on the bottom. I haven't had any swelling, and I am not on my feet excessively during the day or anything. But the feeling I get in the morning is the same feeling you get when you've walked around a theme park or shopping ALL day.

It seems to take several hours for my feet to get acclimated to walking. We have wood laminate flooring (tile in kitchens/bathrooms), and it's never bothered me before. Walking on carpet is better, but we only have one bedroom with carpet. I try to wear cushiony flip flops when they get sore, and it takes the edge off.

Am I the only one with sore feet?

It's the Relaxin hormone striking! Go to a shoe store and have someone check and see if you are still the same shoe size. It's very common for the hormone that causes your hips to spread to also cause your bones in your feet to shift. You can try going to a chiropractor that can adjust them and help the arches stay where they should. It will also help you with the end of the pregnancy with back issues and being prepared for birth.

i'm definitely still the same shoe size (and shoe stores don't even carry my size most of the time... another rant for another time, ha!)

i figured it was pregnancy related. it just sucks. add to that my neuromuscular disorder that primarily affects my feet/ankles (i already have super lax ligaments), so i think it's just something i'll have to deal with.

i already go to a chiropractor and he does wonders. i just find it weird that my feet hurt that badly first thing in the morning. they are fine after a couple of hours. i just watch tv with my feet up in the morning until i feel better :)

I get the thing where my feet feel all "prickly" like walking on pins and needles when I wake up in the middle of the night. Usually after I walk around for a minute or so, it goes away, but it's weird :(
