So Ive been on the depo shot since Nico was born and I LOVE IT! I only have to get it every 3 months AND its stopped my period. Id marry the depo shot inventor if I could, thats how much I LOVE IT. What Im worried bout is my blood pressure began to rise around my 6 week PP appt and it has been on the rise ever since and now its so high, that my Gyno refuses to give me the shot anymore because its not safe to administor that hormone in someone with hypertension. It wouldnt b a big deal if I didnt also have a blood clotting disorder that makes it unsafe for me to be on any BC with estrogen in it, which is everything but the depo shot or the IUD and I refuse to get an IUD. Ive heard to many horror stories and Im freaked out bout having a foreign object in my body.
 
In saying all that, my depo shot is due at the end of the month which means Ill be off bc for the first time since Nico was born with no options other then condoms to prevent pregnancy and I dont trust those things either. I DO NOT WANT nor DO WE NEED another baby EVER, so basically Im screwed. I jus sorta wanted to vent, cuz Im really worried. Im without insurance so to go see a DR about my hypertension would cost a fortune so Im gonna try and control it with diet and exersice.
 
 I keep having visions of something happening to me in my sleep and Nico waking up alone and scared and nobody finding him for hours, because my SO is frequently outta town for work for extended periods of time. I jus worry so much. I cant help it. Wish me Luck...Im worried more then anything bout my blood pressure. They dont call it the silent killer for nothing and to think of leaving Nico without a mother breaks my heart. I need to be here for him for a long time coming.
