In saying all that, my depo shot is due at the end of the month which means Ill be off bc for the first time since Nico was born with no options other then condoms to prevent pregnancy and I dont trust those things either. I DO NOT WANT nor DO WE NEED another baby EVER, so basically Im screwed. I jus sorta wanted to vent, cuz Im really worried. Im without insurance so to go see a DR about my hypertension would cost a fortune so Im gonna try and control it with diet and exersice.
I keep having visions of something happening to me in my sleep and Nico waking up alone and scared and nobody finding him for hours, because my SO is frequently outta town for work for extended periods of time. I jus worry so much. I cant help it. Wish me Luck...Im worried more then anything bout my blood pressure. They dont call it the silent killer for nothing and to think of leaving Nico without a mother breaks my heart. I need to be here for him for a long time coming.

I think that it's so weird that this shot is affecting you that way... I have never heard of that! And, just to throw this out there....
.... DH and I only use condoms for birth control and we've never had an accident. *maybe I should knock on wood... haha*Mon Oct 19, 2009 4:57 pm

Michael & Kaitlyn's Mom wrote:I'm so sorry you are dealing w/ this! There should be a clinic near you that you can go to?? local hospitals often take uninsured at a low, low cost or no cost. You have to just show them what you can / can't afford. Do you qualify for medicaid? There are plans thru the state that help you get insurance.. try a local hospital & see how they can help you... you should be getting help w/ your high BP so there are no issues! You can control it w/ meds & then work in the diet / exercise on your own to keep it low.... check into it -- I'm sure some hospitals can help... & also some drug companies have offers to give you the meds you need if you can't afford them.. so that may be another thought?

Ud think Id qualified for medicaid since Im a SAHM and my SO is the only one working and half his paychecks go to his ex for child support but I dont. Nico gets medicaid and Im a this thing called Plan first. I guess its a MI thing thru medicaid where they cover any gyno medical care, but thats all. Im going to see if theres any herbal supp I can take that help BP in addition to watching my weight and exersing.
