I am 38 and my fiance is 30. We are getting married January 6th. We have been together for about 2 years. We TTC for about 10 months before we found out I was pregnant in October 2011. At 9 Weeks I went in for an ultrasound and the baby's heart had stopped beating. I had a missed AB, so they said I should do a D&C, so I did December 7th, 2011. We are devastated with our loss after trying for so long to get pregnant. We want to get pregnant again asap, but after waiting 10 months first time around, we are a bit more anxious to get pregnant faster. I know I am in my late 30's, but I have done all the tests and I am in super excellent health for even someone in their late 20's, so my eggs are just older than a 20 year olds. First time around I exercised hard and raced snocross and motocross. I have toned my exercise down to half of what it was and I don't race anymore. I eat healthy and take prenatal vitamins and folic acid. I just dont know what else to do. I didnt get much information from my doctors office because they all seem to be agianst any older women having babies. We really want to be parents and we loved our baby that we lost so much. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I turned 39 in Sept and had a m/c the following week. I was 8wks along. Prior to that I had another m/c many years ago and had been diagnosed w/unexplained infertility. I do have a 4 year-old son who came to us by surprise after 6 years of trying. So I know a little of how you're feeling. First of all, I would try to find a dr who is more supportive of your desire to have a baby, or try a specialist. You're not that old, really, and there's no reason why they should just brush you off. Other than that, I would recommend reading "The Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis. It's about using traditional Chinese medicine for fertility issues, and I found it extremely helpful to figure out what was going on with me, since all the dr's tests said everything was fine. I wish you luck on your TTC journey.
